Aileen Darnell Tidwell, 80 of Lakeland Florida, passed peacefully on June 1st, 2025.

A lifelong Lakelander, she graduated from Lakeland High School in 1963 and worked locally in the banking industry for several years before retiring and later moving to spend many wonderful years with her husband in Sugar Mountain, North Carolina. She loved spending time with family and being faithfully married to her husband, Elvie Tidwell, of 43 years.

Survivors include her husband, Elvie Tidwell; children, Scott Williams and Ryan Tidwell; preceded in death by her daughter Pamela Ray Smith; survived by grandchildren, Scott Williams Jr, Morgan Stovall, Christopher Tidwell, Robert Williams and 6 great grandchildren; she was preceded in death by granddaughter Keeley Ray Smith. Aileen was predeceased by her parents H B "Pee-Wee" Darnell and Mary Jean Darnell and sister Dorothy Darnell Ayre.
