Walter John Sauers

September 6, 1961 - February 19, 2022

MULBERRY - After a short 6-month diagnosis of liver cancer, Walter John Sauers, aged 60, lost his battle for life at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida on February 19, 2022. Walt was born on September 6, 1961, in Rahway, New Jersey to Mother Barbara (AKA., Dr. Mom) and Father, Walter Jr, (pre-deceased). He is also survived by his loving children: daughter Kimberly and sons Bobby and Walter IV; Sister, Dawn, Brother-in-law Mike, and niece, Nicole. Walt was also happy to include his stepbrothers John Jr. (wife Jeanne; son Ryan), Steven (wife, Kim; daughter Zoe, sons Teddy and Benji), and Rich (wife, Micayla; sons Jack and Evan) in his family - along with many cousins who loved to share birthdays and holidays. After completing his education in New Jersey, Walt lived in many areas, including upstate New York and New Orleans, working in food and carpentry industries; ultimately settling in Massachusetts and co-establishing his carpentry business, Alpine Contractors, with friend Todd Parmenter. If you knew Walt, you knew he has a most amazing will to live, and no obstacle large or small could slow him down. He was a sweet and caring man, loved to smile and laugh all the time. He continued to fight for that perfect life, even if it meant starting over many times with nothing. From car crashes, a major motorcycle accident, comas, and many broken bones, nothing could stop him until the end. The family plans to travel to upstate New York this summer to scatter Walt’s ashes among nature areas he enjoyed so much sharing with his family in his younger days.
