Ronald Lee Cart

Mr Ronald Lee Cart, age 86 of Lakeland, FL formerly of Madison, IN died on April 1, 2022 at 8:47am at the Good Shepherd Hospice. His wife was at his side. He was born in Perry County, IN November 27,1935 to Ralph Oran Cart and Clara C Robbins Cart. He was raised in Paris Crossing and Deputy, IN and graduated from Paris Crossing HS. While he was in the Army he was stationed in Germany after his discharge he married Janice Short on April 30, 1966. He served as secretary/treasurer at Deputy Volunteer Fire Department. He worked for Arvin Industries in North Vernon, IN until he moved to Simpsonville, SC in 1989, where he worked for Reliance Electric and retired from there in 1999. He moved back to Madison, IN 2006 and then to Lakeland, FL in 2015. Ronnie enjoyed traveling, gardening, collecting & reading western books, woodworking and working jigsaw puzzles. He was also a big fan of IU basketball. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Cart Sr and mother Clara Cart, brother Richard, John, Ralph Jr, Raymond and Howard, sisters Eleanor and Irene and nephew Larry Malcom. He is survived by his wife Janice and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home Serenity Gardens on Wed April 6th at 11:00. Visitation will be 10:00-10:30am.
