Maria Rosa Pazos

October 26, 1925 - March 27, 2022

Mrs. Maria Rosa Pazos, age 96, of Lakeland, Florida, cherished and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and great aunt passed away March 27, 2022. Born on October 26, 1925, in San Cristobal, Cuba. Maria and her family came from Cuba and moved to Lakeland in 1970. Maria was a passionate and vibrant schoolteacher in Cuba. She enjoyed teaching, cooking and was an expert at knitting/crochet. She retired from the Polk County School Board. Her unconditional love and smile will be missed. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo Arturo Pazos Sr., in 2016 and her son William Pazos, in 2012. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Rosa (Domenico) Cingari, Carmen (Phillip) Cummings and Diana (Mark) Brown; beloved grandchildren, Nick (Jackie), Emily (Jessie), Angel, Jordan and Bailey; and three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including, Mari (Clifford) Parsons and Ana (Keith) Manning. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 1:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 210 W Lemon St., Lakeland, FL 33815.
