Frederica "Fritzi" Ingeborg Hug Marschall

March 2, 1940 - October 19, 2021

Frederica "Fritzi" Ingeborg Hug Marschall, daughter of the late Joseph August Hug and Marie Augusta Budicker Hug, was born on March 2,1940 in Englewood, New Jersey. She passed from this life on October 19, 2021 after an illness with melanoma. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister, Sylvia Kessler. She is survived by her husband, John Marschall, of Lakeland, her sister Rosie Froeder of New Jersey, her children Robert Marschall (Stephan Claridy) of Lakeland, FL, Donald Marschall of E. Stroudsburg, PA, William Marschall of Stroudsburg, PA and Mary Eryigit (Burak) of Apex, NC. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Kirk Marschall of Vero Beach, FL, Keith Marschall (Rebecca) of Dade City, FL, Amy Thomerson of Stroudsburg, PA, Jack and Deniz Eryigit of Apex, NC and one great granddaughter, Katheryn Cay Marschall of Dade City, Florida. Fritzi met her husband John while they attended Middle School and attended Dwight Morrow High School together in Englewood, NJ. They were married on January 30, 1960. They moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1967 and were married for 61 years. Fritzi was a devoted wife and mother. She was involved in her children 's lives through Cub Scouts, Brownies, Band, and German Club. She enjoyed birdwatching, growing African Violets, playing tennis and piano, knitting and sewing as well as traveling. She was affiliated with New Presbyterian Church in Wilton Manors, where she cared for the small children in the nursery. She was a loving Grandmother to her 5 grandchildren and great granddaughter. Fritzi graduated from Broward Community College with a Registered Nursing Degree in 1978. She worked as a Registered Nurse until retiring at age 65. She started her nursing career at North Ridge Hospital as a floor nurse, then went to home health care with Broward Home Health as a supervisor and as Assistant Director of Nursing. She then started Home Health Services of South Florida as Administrator with two of her closest friends and retired in March 2008. Fritzi was fluent in German and always willing to help everyone she knew. She is and will be loved and missed.
