"I consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them as dung, so that I may know Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ--the righteousness from God based on faith. My goal is to know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death, assuming that I will somehow reach the resurrection from among the dead" Philippians 3:8-11
My brother Tommy knew Christ. He knew him by faith. He lived his faith. He served Christ and therefore others with his whole life. He was clothed with the righteousness of his Lord Jesus Christ. He lived in the power of the resurrection of our risen Christ. The world is different because of how Tommy lived the life of Christ. The Pollock family is different; Kathleen Baptist Church is different; Kathleen is different; our nation is different. The world is different and marked by this risen Christ as seen in Tommy's life. Tommy inspires me to live like that. And now, Tommy is whole and complete and worshipping Christ in his presence. Thank you God for putting Tommy in my life for these 40 years. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
