Joni and I lived just one block away from each other and played at Hendrix Street Park with all the other neighbor kids. We went to Meridian Elementary, Junior High, and Senior High Schools together. What I always remember about Joni was that she had a beautiful smile and was always friendly to everyone. I was sorry to hear of her passing. Prayers to all her family.
