I just don’t have the words. This was such a hit to me. I spoke with JC a few weeks ago when he walked me through a fix of my water pump over the phone. He always seemed happy to hear from me whether it was just a friendly call of if it involved a helping hand. He did so much for me over the years, I can’t even list the projects here. He never would take monetary compensation…he would say “This is a bill for the materials, it’s what I do for everybody”. He truly was a walking example of what we all should be to our fellowship w man. I always enjoyed our conversations regarding our military service. JC was a true Patriot and American hero. I met Jim at the Lakeland Elks when I joined a number of years ago. He was one of the first people to reach out his hand in friendship and brotherhood, as he did with numerous other members. Everything he ever did as far as the Elks was concerned, was for the GOOD OF THE MEMBERSHIP, never for his own personal gain. He was a great man, a good friend and I will miss him for the rest of my days. Gods speed JC…we will see you again.
